youth leaders on 1 accord (Nonprofit)

Our Mission

As Youth Leaders on 1 Accord, we are bold and courageous young leaders, united in our commitment to making a positive difference in our schools, our communities, and in ourselves.

Our Pledge

I am destined for greatness, and I am proud to say,
I will strive to be my best each and every day.
With my sisters by my side, I am fully on board—
I proudly represent Youth Leaders on 1 Accord.

Core Pillars of Youth Leaders on 1 Accord

  • Community Outreach
We believe in giving back. Our girls lead and participate in service initiatives that uplift neighborhoods and foster a spirit of compassion and civic responsibility.

  • Education
Academic excellence is key to empowerment. We encourage lifelong learning, support academic achievement, and provide tools for college and career readiness.

  • Personal Development
Growth begins within. Through mentorship, self-reflection, and wellness practices, we help young women build confidence, resilience, and purpose.

  • Youth Leadership
Our girls are tomorrow’s leaders—today. We cultivate leadership through public speaking, decision-making, and team-building opportunities that inspire bold, ethical action.

founder of youth leaders on 1 accord

LaJeuna P. Crenshaw, M.Ed.

LaJeuna P. Crenshaw, M.Ed., was motivated to start Youth Leaders on 1 Accord, a girls' leadership group, by her deep passion for empowering girls—particularly those from underrepresented and underserved communities. Drawing from her own experiences as a student, educator, and mentor, she recognized a critical need for safe, supportive spaces where girls could build confidence, develop leadership skills, and cultivate a strong sense of identity and purpose.

She founded the group to address the gaps she observed in social-emotional support, self-esteem development, and leadership opportunities for girls navigating challenging environments. Her goal was to create a sisterhood rooted in unity ("on 1 accord") that encourages academic excellence, civic engagement, and personal growth.

Through workshops, mentorship, and community service, LaJeuna seeks to equip young girls with the tools to lead with integrity, resilience, and vision.
